In this regard, she earned the appointment as the first woman Secretary General of CAPA. She has since spearheaded the successful transformation of the CAPA to the Association of Technical University and Polytechnics in Africa (ATUPA). Madam Faal was born in The Gambia, where she did her primary, secondary and tertiary education. She holds undergraduate and post–graduate degrees in education from the University of The Gambia, and University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom, respectively.
She is married to Honourable Samba Faal and blessed with children. Madam Faal has traveled widely and attended numerous conferences as a participant and resource person.
