Meeting with delegation from the Africa Network Campaign on Education for All – ANCEFA

On Tuesday 10th, October 2023, I had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from the Africa Network Campaign on Education for All – ANCEFA, led by Mr. Gnelou Paul, Chairman of the Board of Directors, to my office at AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa. Ms. Sebastiana Neto, Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors, Dr. Limbani Nsapato, ANCEFA Board of Directors member and Head of the Policy, Advocacy, and Communication, Mrs. Solange Koumbon Akpo-Gnandi, ANCEFA Regional Coordinator, and Mr. Boaz Waruku, Programme Manager at ANCEFA, were also in attendance.

During our discussions, which included CAFOR Senior Advisor Mr. Tshimanga Mukadi-Mutoke, we explored the possibility of ANCEFA’s participation in the African Union’s declaration of 2024 as the Year of Education in Africa. We emphasized the importance of civil society organizations working together on policy reform and resource mobilization to advance education throughout the continent.

We at CAFOR are delighted to collaborate closely with ANCEFA in the months and years to come, as we share a common goal of educational reform and the transformation of education in Africa. We are excited about the potential to work together and look forward to a fruitful cooperation that advances education on our continent.
