CAFOR, the Coalition on Media and Education for Development Africa Forum, recognizes the private sector’s significant role in contributing to humanitarian causes in Africa. Education is crucial to the continent’s development, and with the backing of private entities, its full potential can be achieved.
That being said, CAFOR is pleased to note that the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia has made a financial contribution to our organization. The bank’s support has been instrumental in the advocacy, outreach, and education programs we undertake to improve Africa’s education and development.
On October 13, 2023, CAFOR presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Vice President for Human Resources at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Mr. Ephrem Mekura, who received the certificate on behalf of Mr. Abie Sano, the President of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and President of the Bankers’ Association of Ethiopia. The organization recognized the bank’s dedication to promoting education, advocating for humanitarian causes, and sharing experiences and integrity with CAFOR.
The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia is the country’s largest and most prosperous bank. CAFOR appreciates the organization’s willingness and commitment to leveraging its resources to improve education and development on the continent.
CAFOR strongly believes that private sector involvement in humanitarian causes is critical, and we hope that recognizing the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia’s contribution will inspire other businesses and enterprises to invest in Africa’s education and developmental future.
We thank the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and the Bankers’ Association of Ethiopia for their support. We look forward to a fruitful and long-lasting partnership in advancing education for development in Africa.
