(CAFOR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the African Union Commission at the AU
Headquarters in Addis Ababa. H.E. Prof. Sarah Anyang-Agbor, who has just completed her term of office
as Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, signed the MOU on behalf of the Commission. In contrast, Prof. Kate Adoo-Adeku, Chairperson of CAFOR, signed on behalf of CAFOR.
As we bid farewell to H.E. Prof. Sarah Anyang-Agbor as AU Commissioner for Education, Science,
Technology and Innovation, I would like to congratulate her for a very successful term as Commissioner. On behalf of CAFOR’s Chairperson, Prof. Kate Adoo-Adeku, and the entire CAFOR membership, I would like to thank Prof. Sarah for her energy, dedication, and relentless efforts to promote education, science, and technology and all the various issues regarding the youth of our continent. During your tenure of office, Madame Commissioner, many institutions and organisations around the African continent and our external partners who cared about Africa invested a great deal of attention, time, and resources on our young people, especially regarding their education and employment.
We look forward to your continued membership of CAFOR, especially within the Executive Board, as we
now move to higher heights and get ready for the new challenges on the continent as we traverse this COVID and post COVID period.
