News: meeting with the representatives from the Ashagari Charitable Organizations (ACO)

This past Thursday, March 23, 2023, it was great to receive in our office at AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa representatives from the Ashagari Charitable Organizations (ACO) based at Haya Hulet in Addis Ababa.
The triad from Ashagari consisted of Ms. Workaferahu Kidane, Ms. Mekdes Gebre-Wolde, and Ms. Eman Masresha, each with a portfolio focusing on women, leaders, and youth. My visitors briefed me on how their organization Ashagari works to empower and equip society to enable individuals and communities to unleash their potential.
They work with youth, women, and various categories of leaders to build a society that understands its culture and is dedicated to transformation. Currently, they are addressing thousands of individuals through training and dialogue and have engaged about 900 disadvantaged individuals with job creation.
We at CAFOR would be delighted to embrace Ashagari and work closely with them in our various projects in the next five years that border on advocacy, education, and largely, support their projects on culture that aims at promoting a deeper understanding of African culture and how this can positively influence growth in society.
