News: meeting with Dr. Quentin Wodon, the new Unesco International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa Director

It was with much pleasure that we received in our office at AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa the new Unesco International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa – IICBA Director, Dr. Quentin Wodon to follow up on UNESCO-IICBA’s participation and contribution in CAFOR’s first operational innovative digital Technical and Vocationsl Education and Training (TVET) scholarships and library training platform for supporting and scaling existing TVET programs to African youth, with a strong component on capacity building and teacher training for TVET instructors in Africa.
Through our digital platform, CAFOR will enable global TVET organizations to include and scale their TVET training to African youth. This would enable African youth to learn from the best and most diverse existing TVET knowledge and learning material in the world. Also, this project will bring the best TVET learning material back to life by creating audio, practice, animation, and video upload options to optimize learning. I take this opportunity to thank Dr. Quentin Wodon for the tremendous interest he has shown in this project and the valued contribution we expect from UNESCO-IICBA.
