[New Year Message from the Chairperson of the Coalition on Media and Education for Development Africa Forum (CAFOR)]

On behalf of all CAFOR members across the African continent, I extend my heartfelt and warmest wishes for a Happy New Year to everyone.
The year 2024, which has just come to a close, brought us countless blessings that we are deeply grateful for, even if we cannot fully enumerate them. However, it was also a year marked by challenges. Among these, we experienced the profound loss of one of our most dedicated and hardworking members, Mr. Tshimanga Mukadi-Mutoke. Mr. Tshimanga worked tirelessly alongside our Executive Director, Dr. Lawalley Cole, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. His contributions were invaluable, and he will always be remembered for his unwavering commitment to CAFOR’s mission. Mr. Tshimanga was laid to rest in his home country, Congo-Kinshasa, and we continue to honor his memory.
As we welcome 2025, we are filled with hope and determination. This new year presents us with fresh opportunities to further our mission of empowering Africa’s youth to thrive in a rapidly evolving global environment. Let us remain steadfast in our efforts and committed to achieving success in all our endeavors.
Long live CAFOR! May 2025 be a year of growth, unity, and impactful achievements for us all.
Warm regards,
Prof. Kate Adoo-Adeku
Chairperson, CAFOR
