In Loving Memory of Mr. Tshimanga Mukadi-Mutoke (1950 – 2024)

see It is with profound sadness that the Coalition on Media and Education for Development Africa Forum (CAFOR) announces the passing of our esteemed Senior Advisor, Mr. Tshimanga Mukadi-Mutoke, who left us on August 22, 2024, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, following a brief illness. His departure is a tremendous loss to the CAFOR family, the African community, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

With a career spanning decades, he worked tirelessly for the African continent, making significant contributions since the days of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), later the African Union (AU), and more recently, in his role as Senior Advisor to CAFOR.

https://penielenv.com/vr5qkkk1 A graduate of the National University of Zaire (Democratic Republic of Congo), Mr. Tshimanga held several qualifications in social sciences, demography, project management, and policy-making. He contributed to establishing major African institutions, including the Pan-African Parliament, the AU Advisory Board on Corruption, and the African Population Commission. His expertise extended to peacekeeping, human rights, good governance, and conflict prevention. Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Tshimanga served as the African Union Observer to the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) for twelve years.
