Dear colleagues and partners, Warm greetings from Nairobi and Addis Ababa

2018 has started very well with the coming into being of the Coalition on Media and Education for Development Africa Forum (CAFOR). This Forum was the result of four months of consultations during the last quarter of 2017 by African professionals in the fields of education, communication, law, business, and development to address the adoption in 2016 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the African Union’s Continental Education Strategy.

I am delighted to be serving Africa as the first Executive Director of this very reputable organisation which has emerged with high ideals and standards to address some of the most critical issues affecting Africa’s young people especially in the areas of education, employment, migration and the demographic transition now facing us.

I just want to take this opportunity to wish you all an incredible new year filled with peace and meaning. May prosperity and success be the two sides of the coin for all of us this year and always as we anticipate viable partnerships that will bring positive change for young Africans everywhere.
