It has been busy over the last few days for CAFOR as we prepare for the Roundtable Conference that will be held after the African Union Heads of State and Government Summit that is beginning now. The theme for the CAFOR Roundtable is “Supporting the African Union’s innovative practices in the fields of education, science and technology with an emphasis on TVET implementation to enhance youth advancement across the continent of Africa”. The African Union’s Heads of State and Government Summit theme for this year is “Silencing the Guns: Creating conducive Conditions for Africa’s Development”.
Over the past few dans, I met with several Ambassadors accredited to the African Union to discuss the work of CAFOR and to prepare them for the Roundtable. These photos were taken at meetings with me and some members of my staff with 1. H.E Mr. Borja Montesino, Ambassador of Spain to Ethiopia and the African Union, 2. H.E Mr. Giuseppe Berlendi, Italian Ambassador and Representative to the African Union, 3. H.E. Mr Sami J Abdullah, Ambassador of the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Ethiopia and Representative of the Kingdom to the African Union.
I also participated in the celebrations of the 72nd Independence Anniversary of Sri Lanka with H.E. Mr. Sugeeshwara Gunaratna, Ambassador of Sri Lanka and Permanent Representative to the African Union.
